St. John’s has proudly partnered with ICT Street Team, an initiative by NGO, Inc. that provides primary care to the homeless in Wichita, using a mobile medical model to deliver care at the point of contact. Using volunteer nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, registered nurses, students, and a multitude of other healthcare professionals, The ICT Street Team strives to remove the multiple barriers that often cause our homeless citizens to miss opportunities to meet their own healthcare needs. We provide many services including acute illness visits, injury evaluation, chronic disease management, and provide over-the-counter and prescription medications as needed. As a volunteer ran organization, we rely heavily on the kindness of donors to provide these much needed services to the poorest of the poor in our community.
